Canada Employment Insurance (EI) and Regular Benefits
Employment Insurance (EI) provides Regular Benefits to individuals who lose their jobs through no fault of their own (for example, due to shortage of work, seasonal or mass lay-offs) and are available for and able to work, but can't find a job. Ontario Guaranteed Annual Income System for Seniors
This system provides a monthly income supplement to seniors (aged 65 and over) who receive full or partial Old Age Security and/or Guaranteed Income Supplement benefits and whose income falls within provincial guidelines.

This program is intended to meet the needs of people with disabilities and help them to become more independent.

  • ODSP Employment Supports is a voluntary program that helps people with disabilities find work.

  • You may be eligible for ODSP Employment Supports if you have a physical or mental disability that is expected to last a year or more and, as a result, makes it hard for you to find or keep a job.




Canada Maternity, Parental, or Sickness Benefits
Employment Insurance (EI) provides maternity/parental benefits to individuals who are pregnant, have recently given birth, are adopting a child, or are caring for a newborn.   • The benefit period for fishing benefits can start as early as the week of October 1st and must end no later than the week of June 15th, or as early as the week of April 1st and must end no later than the week of December 15th.
