This program provides financial assistance and benefits to victims of crime, their immediate family members and some witnesses to offset the costs of the victimization and aid in the their recovery from the physical or psychological impact of the offence.

Additional Information
- An application must be made within one year of the date of the offence or event. For exceptions, visit the program's Web site.
- This program does not cover injuries or loss sustained from motor vehicle accidents, or out of or during the course of employment.
- This program does not cover claims for suffering or loss of stolen personal property.

This program provides emergency financial assistance to individual victims of crime in exceptional circumstances and to surviving family members who incur expenses to attend early parole eligibility hearings.

This program provides temporary housing in a safe, secure environment for women leaving abusive relationships, as well as for their children.
