What is XML?

XML (Extensible Markup Language) is a text-based computer language. One of the uses of XML is to deliver Web site content directly to you through RSS.

What is RSS?

RSS is an easy way to review the most current information about government benefit programs and services without having to return to the Canada Benefits Web site.

How do I use RSS feeds?

Generally, to view RSS feeds on your computer, you will need an RSS reader. Many are available for free, and you have the option to use a Web-based reader or download and install the reader on your computer.

Once you have an RSS reader, simply click on the orange "XML" button below. Copy the URL (Web site address) into your RSS reader, and you will have an up-to-date listing of benefits.
