Community Living Support

Community Living Support is available only to Nunavummiut 60 or older or participants unable to work in the opinion of a medical professional.  You do not have to do a Productive Choice or complete an Income Support Agreement and/or be working toward financial independence to receive Community Living Support.

Benefits
Income Support Participants who qualify will have additional funds included in their monthly assessment for Income Assistance.

To qualify
To receive Community Living Support, you must

  • Apply for income support
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Be 60 years or older or be unable to work in the opinion of a medical professional.

To apply
You must apply to the Income Support Program to receive Community Living Support.  More information on the application process can be found in the Income Support information sheet, “Helping You Become More Independent.”  Your Community Income Support Worker can give you a copy of this information sheet.
