Children's Rehabilitation Services/Children's Treatment Centres
Children's Treatment Centres (CTCs) are community-based organizations that serve children with physical disabilities and multiple special needs. The Ministry of Children and Youth Services funds children's rehabilitation services offered by CTCs.
What funding and/or service(s) are provided under the Children's Rehabilitation Services Program?
CTCs across Ontario range in size and scope but each provides physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy as core services. A wide variety of other services and clinics are provided depending on local needs and the mix of other providers in each community.
Who is eligible for this program?
- Children up to age 19, who have physical disabilities or communication disorders including, but not limited to:
- Cerebral Palsy, - Brain Injury, - Developmental or learning difficulties, - Down Syndrome, - Spina Bifida, - Autism or Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD), - Chronic and/or long-term medical conditions.
