MAPSTER
MAPSTER (version 1.0) is a map viewer which is accessible
on the internet and can display more than 135 different layers of map information within the geographic extent of British Columbia. Map layers
represent specific themes such as fish species presence and distribution, marine habitat,
administrative boundaries and orthophoto imagery. The purpose of MAPSTER is to provide access to
fish and fish habitat map information to as wide an audience as possible.
Fisheries Project Registry
The Fisheries Project Registry (FPR) is a map-enabled
database management system, accessible on the Internet, which tracks minimum data about the existence, general nature, location and key contacts for
specific categories of fisheries-related projects.
Yukon Fisheries Information Summary System
The Yukon Territory FISS application identifies locations of fish presence based on a 1:50,000 scale
hydrology map and is intended for general interest and land use planning purposes. Waterbodies with
known fish presence are denoted with a point symbol on the map. Detailed information is provided about
waterbodies and fish presence in the form of summary reports. This application also displays primary
watershed boundaries and topographic information such as roads, railways and towns.

provide a service that collects and integrates natural
resource information, maps and mapping information to
promote sustainable resource management and to assist
planning sustainable communities in British Columbia,
Canada.
DFO Geoportal
The
Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO), in partnership
with other marine organizations and GeoConnections, is
leading the establishment of a marine geospatial data
infrastructure (MGDI) for Canada. The DFO GeoPortal
Project, initiated by the DFO Science sector, is
providing key services forming the DFO open geospatial
infrastructure, which is a key component of the evolving
MDGI.
