Many of you have completed our questionnaire in fall 2004. The
information obtained helped the Canadian Hydrographic Service (CHS)
establish priorities and define Levels of Service (LOS) that best balance
CHS resources and client needs.
The compiled results were very positive. The respondents endorsed most of
the proposed orientations except for those services CHS had targeted for
reduction. CHS attended the Canadian Marine Advisory Council (CMAC),
Regional Marine Advisory Councils and Regional Boating Advisory Councils to
present a summary of the results as well as a draft LOS during last spring
CMAC.
The CHS devoted the last year to establish performance measurements within
the organisation in order to establish Levels of Service that will respond
to clients needs while being achievable.
The Levels of Service are scheduled to be published this fall.
