Hydroacoustic test data for target tracking

Download archived data files.   <<< Stock Assessment

These files represent several data sets for which both acoustic data and visual estimates of the number of salmon that swam through the acoustic beam are available. The data files have the following format:

Each acoustic transmission results in one or two records.
The first record contains the number of echoes (n) observed for an acoustic transmission, and the time of day (t) in seconds.
The second record contains n (x,y,z) triplets giving the locations of the n echoes.

For the case of a transmission without any echoes, the second record is absent.

Thus 3-D position and time are recorded for all observed echoes.
The file "VisualCount.txt" gives the visual estimates associated with each of the acoustic files.
