Northern and Southern Resident Killer Whale Recovery Strategy

Consultation on the Northern and Southern Resident Killer Whale Recovery Strategy was held in spring 2005. Thank you to all those who contributed comments and feedback to the process. The Recovery Strategy was developed by a multi-stakeholder Recovery Team of experts, and will form the key component to recovering this species under Canada's Species At Risk Act (SARA). As the recovery strategy

is turned into an action plan, the contribution and participation of communities and individuals will play a key role in helping to rebuild these populations. If you have questions about the progress of the recovery strategy, please contact the DFO contact below.
