CONSULTATIONS
FOR LEGAL LISTINGS: FALL 2005
Your views were sought to assist
the government of Canada in making an informed
decision on whether to add any or all of the
following four aquatic species to Schedule 1 (List
of Wildlife Species at Risk) of the Species at Risk
Act (SARA). The species had been designated by the Committee on
the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC),
and included: North Pacific Right Whale (Endangered),
Fin Whale (Threatened), Green Sturgeon (Special
Concern) and Bering Cisco (Special Concern).
This workbook provided background information on SARA
and the four species being considered for legal
listing.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR
PARTICIPATION!
