CANADIAN WATERS |
The ParkWelcome to the Park! Puffy the Pollution Slayer does her best to keep her park neat and tidy, but she also gets help from her friends. Find out how people are helping our underwater friends by fighting nasty things like Invasive Species and Climate Change. But it doesn't end with the ocean. If you don't live near the coast there's still lots you can do to protect the animals and plants that live on our land and in our lakes and rivers. Do your part and keep your park beautiful too! StewardshipStewardship refers to the wide range of voluntary actions that Canadians take to care for the environment. These actions can include picking up trash in a park or on a riverbank, monitoring water in a lake to make sure it's clean for fish to live in, or making sure that wildlife species have a place to live. What can I do?All of these actions, however small, can make a difference. That's why it's important for everyone, including you, to do your part. Some things you can do include learning about your environment and how to protect it, conserving water, reducing waste, recycling, and being careful not to litter. You can also join the many people who get together for organized park, riverbank or beach clean-ups, or water monitoring programs. More things you can do to help preserve the environment and become True Blue! |
