    The research program of the British Columbia Workers' Compensation Board.

    Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS)
    The centre promotes a safe and healthy working environment by providing information and advice about occupational health and safety.

    Canadian Policy Research Network (CPRN)
    An independent policy research network with networks in health and work, among others. Many of its research reports are available online.

    Newfoundland's 'Research Initiatives'
    The research program of the Newfoundland Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission.

    The Department of Occupational and Environmental Health (OEH) at Saint Michael's Hospital
    The site contains a description of the department's services as well as links to screening tools and information resources (such as links to the Gage Occupational and Environmental Health Unit and the Centre for Research Expertise in Occupational Disease).

    Canadian Health Services Research Foundation (CHSRF)
    The Foundation's mission is to "sponsor and promote applied health systems research, to enhance its quality and relevance, and to facilitate its use in evidence-based decision making by policy makers and health systems managers." Founded in 1996 through a $65-million commitment by the federal government.

    Funds biomedical and health research. Founded in 1969.

    Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC)
    Funds research in the natural sciences and engineering. Founded in 1978.

    Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC)
    Funds research in the social sciences and humanities. Founded in 1978.

    European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions
    The health and safety institute of the European Economic Community. Contains many publications online.

    Finnish Institute of Occupational Health

    Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (UK)

    National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)
    The premiere public occupational health and safety research institution in the United States.Contains an extensive list of publications, many of which are available online.

    A valuable resource and a partner in providing health and safety information for small businesses.

    Funded in part by the WSIB to conduct research on what contributes to workplace health and disability, evaluate rehabilitation facilities, and provide information on workplace health and rehabilitation.
