Get Involved in Planet Protection!!

Puffy the Pollution Slayer

The oceans help us every day -- they give us rainwater for plants and trees to grow, food to eat, and a place to exercise and relax. Now it's our turn to show them that we care!

These links will help you, and your community, get involved in activities to clean up the marine environment and to keep it healthy ... for now and for ever!

Learn how you can organize your own Beachsweep!

What You Can Do To Become True Blue!

  • Ride a bike or use public transit and encourage your friends and families to do so as well.
  • Go Blue! Use natural pest control on your lawn or garden Use biodegradable cleaners for all cleaning jobs. Practice the 3 R's and reduce, re-use, and recycle all your cans, paper, plastic, and glass products.
  • When you go boating or visit a shoreline, always take all of your waste with you for proper disposal and recycling.
  • Write to elected officials, encouraging the development of Marine Protected Areas.
  • Keep informed and get involved in local groups and initiatives that help to protect and conserve our oceans and waterways.
  • Protect sensitive aquatic ecosystems in your area by cleaning up beaches, streams, rivers, or wetlands when you see garbage and recyclable material.
