CHS RELEASES 2005 EDITION OF THE CANADIAN TIDE
AND CURRENT TABLES FOR THE B.C. COAST

Sidney, B.C. – The Canadian Hydrographic Service (CHS) of Fisheries and Oceans Canada today announced the publication of the 2005 Canadian Tide and Current Tables for the British Columbia coast. 

All volumes are in bilingual format and contain tide and current tables for selected reference ports and current stations, time and height differences for secondary ports, and time differences and rate information for secondary current stations. 

Coverage for the B.C. coast is provided in three volumes: 

  • Volume 5 – Juan de Fuca Strait and Strait of Georgia

  • Volume 6 – Discovery Passage and West Coast of Vancouver Island

  • Volume 7 – Queen Charlotte Sound to Dixon Entrance 

Copies are now available for purchase at $6.50 per copy (plus applicable taxes) from CHS Authorized Chart Agents or the CHS Sales and Distribution Office. 

CHS is responsible for surveying Canadian navigable waterways and for producing a number of nautical publications, including nautical charts, sailing directions, bathymetric maps and tide and current tables. These products are commonly used by commercial vessels, commercial fishers, tugboat operators, and recreational fishers and boaters.
