The 2001 Catalogue is now available from your local CHS Chart Dealers or the CHS Sales and Distribution Office. There is no charge for this publication. The Canadian Hydrographic Service is responsible for surveying Canadian navigable waterways and for producing a number of nautical publications, including nautical charts, sailing directions, bathymetric maps and tide and current tables. These products are commonly used by commercial vessels, commercial fishers, tugboat operators, and recreational fishers and boaters. Since its founding in 1883, CHS has earned respect nationally and world-wide. While the tradition and integrity of Canada'’ early chartmakers has been maintained, the Canadian Hydrographic Service, utilizing the latest technological advances such as GPS and multibeam acoustics, has kept pace with the demands of today’s world to protect lives, property and the marine environment. -30- For sales information:
