Data on Canada's marine commercial fisheries are presented in four categories consisting of landings, licensing (fishers, vessels and species) and Atlantic quota reports. Landings information covers both volume and value of fish landings in Canada from 1989 to 2004. Licensing data is prepared and maintained by the staff of Fisheries Management in each DFO region. Quota reports, specifically the Canadian Atlantic Quota Report (CAQR) are also prepared by Fisheries Management in Ottawa with direct input from DFO's Atlantic regions. Consumption data in kilograms, reflecting the apparent per capita consumption of fish products in Canada, is provided by Statistics Canada for the years from 1988 to 2004.
