Eligibility CriteriaAll Canadian businesses involved in the importing and/or exporting of commercial goods must obtain a BN in order to account for their goods. Foreign-based or non-resident importers must also get a BN.SummaryThe BN is made up of 15 digits -- nine digits registration numbers to identify the business, followed by a six digit alphanumeric account identifier; currently the BN includes the following four major Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) business accounts:
