FOURTH REPORT QUATRIÈME RAPPORT
In accordance with its Order of Reference of Tuesday, April 19, 2005, your Committee has considered Bill C-40, An Act to amend the Canada Grain Act and the Canada Transportation Act, and agreed on Tuesday, May 10, 2005, to report it with the following amendment: Conformément à son Ordre de renvoi du mardi 19 avril 2005, votre Comité a étudié le projet de loi C-40, Loi modifiant la Loi sur les grains du Canada et la Loi sur les transports au Canada, et a convenu le mardi 10 mai 2005, d’en faire rapport avec l'amendement suivant :
New Clause 2.1Nouvel Article 2.1
That Bill C-40 be amended by adding after line 11 on page 1 the following new clause:Que le projet de loi C-40 soit modifié par adjonction, après la ligne 9, page 1, du nouvel article suivant :

“2.1 The Act is amended by adding the following after section 120:

REVIEW AND REPORT

120.1 Within a year after the coming into force of this section, the Minister shall cause:

(a) an independent and comprehensive review of the Commission and of the provisions and operation of this Act to be conducted; and

(b) a report on the review to be laid before each House of Parliament, including a statement of any changes recommended by the authors of the review.”

« 2.1 La même loi est modifiée par adjonction, après l'article 120, de ce qui suit :

EXAMEN ET RAPPORT

120.1 Dans l'année suivant l'entrée en vigueur du présent article, le ministre veille à ce que :

a) la Commission et les dispositions de la présente loi, ainsi que les conséquences de son application, fassent l'objet d'un examen indépendant et approfondi;

b) soit déposé devant chaque chambre du Parlement un rapport de l'examen dans lequel les auteurs de l'examen font état des modifications qu'ils jugent souhaitables. »
