The Federal Industrial Boiler Program (FIBP) is a fee-for-service program whose mission is to assist in the development and implementation of clean, energy-efficient heating and cooling technologies.
Eligibility Criteria
FIBP services are available to the private sector, federal government departments, and other levels of government.
Summary
Along with developing site-specific strategies to help boiler operators meet higher equipment-performance targets, the FIBP provides services related to:
- reducing NOx emissions;
- increasing energy efficiency;
- extending the useful life of existing boiler systems and auxiliary equipment.
The FIPB services include:
- cogeneration feasibility studies;
- retrofit surveys;
- non-destructive examinations;
- lifecycle costing analyses;
- preparation of technical specifications;
- turnkey project management of heating, cooling and micro-cogeneration system installations;
- advisory services (e.g. emissions guidelines).
