Potential and existing Aboriginal entrepreneurs.

Summary

The Aboriginal Business Service Network (ABSN) was established to provide improved access to business information and business tools for potential and existing Aboriginal businesses in New Brunswick. This is accomplished by providing the Aboriginal business community with a wide range of relevant, accurate and current information on federal and provincial government programs, services and regulations, tailored to meet the unique requirements of Aboriginal business clients.

Within New Brunswick, the ABSN is comprised of 16 sites, province-wide.  ABSN sites are located in each New Brunswick First Nation community and in the New Brunswick Aboriginal People's Council office in Fredericton.  Each site provides clients with access to a library of select business publications and Aboriginal business-specific related titles and an internet-enabled public access computer.  The services provided by the ABSN are offered free-of-charge to all interested Aboriginal clients.

What can the ABSN do for you?
The ABSN assists you in finding answers to your business questions by providing access to Aboriginal specific and non-Aboriginal specific information. Stop by your nearest ABSN site and you can search for government programs, services and regulations and access useful business tools to help you plan your success. By calling our toll free number 1-800-668-1010, you will be put in touch with a trained business information officer who has access to numerous sources of accurate and up-to-date business information.

How can I access the services of the ABSN?
The ABSN is accessible through four different modes:

  • Telephone: (506) 444-6140 or 1 800 668-1010. Call our toll-free number and speak to a business information officer who will direct you to the best sources of information or refer you to programs and services relevant to your business situation.
