Public Service Internship Program - Introduce yourself.

What is the Internship Program?

The New Brunswick Public Service Internship Program is looking to attract a new generation of leaders into the province’s public service.

Our two-year program can help kick-start your career by combining work experience, job rotation, training and mentoring to create a solid foundation for recent university graduates looking to build a career in the public sector.

If you graduated from university in the past two years – or will be graduating this coming spring – Introduce Yourself to us today.

If you’re successful, your employment will start in May, beginning with an extensive orientation to the New Brunswick government. How the program works is simple:

  • In year one, you’ll work in central government agencies and within host departments to gain broad insight and experience.
  • In year two, you’ll refine your skills and understanding by focusing on your host department.
  • Throughout your employment, an assigned mentor will be there to provide you with support, advice and feedback.

Why is our program right for you (and you’re right for us)? Hello my name is The Future of New Brunswick

New Brunswick’s public service provides a diverse working environment, with plenty of opportunities for growth and movement across departments and fields of work.

Public service work is challenging, multi-faceted and rewarding. It’s your opportunity to make a difference and contribute to The Future of New Brunswick.

It allows new graduates like you to achieve their career goals in a fostering environment with competitive compensation of $34,060 to $38,792 depending on your qualifications, plus a comprehensive benefit package.

You will benefit from paid courses aimed at identifying and improving your personal and professional skills.
