Using the Geochronology Knowledgebase application

The following commands are available from the icon bar:

icon bar

Float cursor over the icon bar in the application to get a help tag.

expand/contract Expand/contract the application. Resets the application when used.
pan Pan: Click or click-and-drag
zoom in Zoom in: Click or click-and-drag
zoom out Zoom out: Click or click-and-drag
zoom to Canada Zoom to Canada
zoom to location Zoom to a location that you specify
previous extent Zoom: Previous extent
information Information: Click on features
simple request Simple Request: Geochronology Knowledgebase Search
Complex request Complex Request: Geochronology Knowledgebase Search
select features Select features: Click-and-drag
clear selected features Clear selected features
print the map Print the map.
help Show this help

Search

simple request Complex requestThis provides a mechanism to derive a subset of the data, either limited to the extent of the current view or for all of Canada. Default is all data (Age between 0 and 4500 Ma) for all of Canada. Data is returned as either a summary (subset of key fields) or detailed view (all fields).


Download

Data may be saved in Excel format for further processing on the user's computer. By default, detailed data view is saved.
