Directory of Primary Wood-using Industries in Manitoba 2001

Abstract

Primary wood-using industries in Manitoba were surveyed by telephone and personal interviews in 2000-2001. This directory gives a summary for each operation. Information is provided on mill production, products, wood supply, species utilized, employment generated, and markets. Sawmills, woodtreating plants, log home builders, and the pulp, paper, newsprint, oriented strandboard, fiberboard, and particleboard mills are grouped by industry type and size of operation.
