The Atlantic Forestry Centre maintains library collections at the research centres in Fredericton and Corner Brook. Subject areas include forestry, forest engineering, forest economics, forest and land use policy, biodiversity, botany, ecology, entomology, genetics, and sustainable development. The two libraries house scientific journals, newsletters, books, Canadian and U.S. government technical reports and documents, and publications from private sector forestry organizations. The libraries also hold archival materials from CFS and its predecessor federal agencies. The collections are extensive, comprising over 14,000 monographs, 150 current journal subscriptions, and 7,000 microfiche. Services include document delivery and interlibrary loans, CFS Library network online catalogue, online reference services, and bibliographic databases and e-journals for authorized users.
