Map of Alberta Alberta's Hinton Training Centre

Located in Hinton, 15 minutes driving time from Jasper National Park and 280 km (175 mi.) west of Edmonton, the Hinton Training Centre is situated in the heart of Alberta's foothills forests. Nearby are Jasper National Park, William A. Switzer Provincial Park and Willmore Wilderness Park.

Industrial activities such as coal mines, a pulp mill, logging operations and extensive petroleum activity are all close by. The above add significantly to the learning resources available at the Centre.

Alberta's Hinton Training Centre, is unique among educational institutions in the province. Operating internationally, the Centre provides a wide variety of training programs to assist government, industry and special interest groups in upgrading their skills.

The Hinton Training Centre is operated by Sustainable Resource Development and is a partner in Alberta's Foothills Model Forest.
