Earth Sciences Information Centre (ESIC) provides document delivery/interlibrary loan service to libraries. Individual clients may order photocopies of items held in our collection, but, are asked to request loans through their public/school/workplace library. ESIC uses an ISO compliant Interlibrary loan management system to process requests. Requests will no longer be accepted by email or fax from libraries with valid Library & Archives Canada symbols.
ISO ILL Compliant Systems The ISO ILL Protocol (ISO 10160/10161) supports two transport methods: TCP/IP and e-mail. Our connection details:

ESIC Document Delivery/Interlibrary Loans Service is committed to filling every request within three days (or four hours for urgent service) provided that the item is available and properly cited. Requests are processed during business hours, 8:30 a.m to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday to Friday. There is a fee for filled requests. The purposes of the fee are: to recover costs, to support a strong, well developed collection and to deliver services efficiently.
