John has worked as a Spatial Data Analyst with the Canadian Forest Service since 2001. As part of the Fire Management Systems team, John works to develop and maintain information systems and web products that synthesize data and present regional, national and international wildfire information. He is currently working on the Canadian Wildland Fire Information System (CWFIS)–a computer-based fire management system that monitors fire danger conditions across Canada.
