First Nations and Inuit Health Branch Facilities
Map - First Nations and Inuit Health Branch Facilities

This Canadian National map is intended to geographically illustrate the positions of all First Nations and Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB) facilities, their type and program status within each of the 7 provinces. This map shows the locations of over 550 facility locations. As Health Canada no longer has facilities located in the Northern Territories, two versions of the map were created. The primary map (Condensed) shows only a portion of the Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut including major towns and capital cities. This version was produced primarily for insertion into the FNIHB Nurse Recruitment Kits. The secondary version (Wall Map) shows all of Canada and is intended for use as a poster.

Each location is symbolized by facility type (nursing station, health centre, health stations, health offices and National Native Alcohol Abuse Treatment Centres) and is colour coded to display the program status of each facility (not transferred, transferred, integrated). Each of the 7 provinces is colour coded and are further broken down by Health Canada Zones, Treaties or Centres which are shown in a pastel colour. Base map information also includes provincial, territorial and international boundaries, major roads and towns and capital cities.

Scale (Condensed & Wall Map):

1 : 7 500 000

Dimensions Condensed:

17 in. x 34 in. or 43.2 cm x 86.4 cm

Dimensions Wall Map:

28 in. x 34 in. or 71.1 cm x 86.4 cm
