Study Description:
The Marketing and Technology Transfer Section (MTTS) has the following
mission:
To facilitate the consistent production, promotion, and delivery of relevant
and strategically important products.
Our aim is to make strategic impact by handling information efficiently
and facilitating the flow of relevant knowledge. The primary role of MTTS
is to facilitate: 'to make easier.' We expect the following results of
our efforts;
-Movement of knowledge between science and clients
-Clients receiving the information they need, when they need it
-Communication and sharing of knowledge between people
-Responding to information requests
-Consulting and obtaining feedback
-Strategic planning and setting priorities
-Collaboration with other people in other organizations
When we function effectively as facilitators, we fulfill other important
roles:
- to be aware of developments and trends internally and externally;
to be 'plugged-in' and able to make things happen. We are to be agents
of change.
- to serve the interests of corporate priorities, such as NRCan visibility.
We are to be opportunistic, finding simple and effective ways to increase
awareness and interest in what CFS can offer to the larger federal government
agenda. At the end of the day, the M&TT Section may be invisible,
but the results of its work should be highly visible.
- to help NRCan be an effective knowledge-based organization that has
impact on clients and partners. Whether we possess the ability, or we
go find those with the ability, our job is to help NRCan deliver.
