Aeronautical and Technical Services Division Our Specialists
The following are descriptions of specialists' responsibilities within the Aeronautical and Technical Services (ATS) Division. For information about the aeronautical charts, publications and specialists, please visit the Aeronautical Charting (AERO) Program Web site.
- Cartographic Imaging Service
The geomatic and process specialists provide a variety of advanced digital and photomechanical imaging services related to the enhancement, assembly and publishing of cartographic image data/material in support of government-client mapping and publishing programs.
- Cartographic Printing Service
The Service works with government-clients to understand their production requirements and ensuring technical teams and publishing systems are available to meet the production demands.
- Information Technology (IT) Line of Business (LOB) Computing
The IT-LOB Specialists of the Geomatics Canada-Mapping Services Branch provide standard and specialized services to the Aeronautical Charting Program (AERO) and the Aeronautical & Technical Services (ATS). They gather general and specialized activities depending on the needs of LOB electronic/computer systems in AERO and ATS by providing comprehensive, client-focused information technology planning, advice and services.

- Quality Management System
The Quality Management System is designed and developed in conjunction with managerial functions, and establishes an effective and economical system for assuring quality. Our Quality Management System conforms to the ISO 9001 International Standard.
- Quality Assurance
Quality assurance is a major focus of the Aeronautical and Technical Services Division, where in association with the Aeronautical Charting Program, a team of engineers and product specialists oversee a comprehensive quality assurance program - Your assurance of obtaining the most complete and accurate Canadian aeronautical information.
- Quality Council
A committee comprised of Aeronautical and Technical Services, and Aeronautical Charting Program employees, determining areas for quality and productivity improvement.
