Industrial Energy Audit IncentiveNatural Resources Canada's (NRCan's) Office of Energy Efficiency has a financial incentive to help industrial companies identify ways to increase energy efficiency, improve production processes and cut costs. This incentive is designed to help defray the cost of hiring a professional energy auditor to conduct an on-site audit at an industrial facility. Funding is available for up to 50 percent of the cost of an energy audit, to a maximum of $5,000. This is an exclusive service for companies that are registered as Industrial Energy Innovators. Companies must have their Industrial Energy Audit Incentive applications approved by NRCan before beginning their audit. Note: The deadline for submission of applications to the Industrial Energy Audit Incentive program is December 22, 2006. Once Natural Resources Canada has approved an application, the recipient will be required to complete their energy audit by March 31, 2007.
