Modelling Guide for Retail Food Stores

Retail food stores use refrigeration systems that substantially affect the energy performance of the whole building. The Modelling Guide for Retail Food Stores deals specifically with this building type.

In order to perform an appropriate energy evaluation of these buildings, the Commercial Building Incentive Program (CBIP) developed a compliance software tool, EE Wizard. The Guide explains how to proceed with a project submission using this software.

A workaround has been developed to improve modelling of heat recovery when the building uses baseboard heating. Use CBIP's modelling procedure if your supermarket has both heat recovery and baseboard heating.
