Visit our new list of Frequently asked questions (FAQ). It should help you through the application process. Still have questions? contact us.

Contact an Account Manager

You can speak with an Account Manager in charge of projects in your province or territory.

Up to $1,000 in free design assistance!

CBIP offers you the opportunity to have a consultant specifically assigned to provide design assistance for your project submission. This free assistance is available for any file with a valid Expression of Interest (EOI) number. CBIP will provide financial assistance of up to $1,000 (maximum amount allowed for each EOI). Please apply to obtain this service.

Homework first!

It is in the interest of simulators to do their homework first in order to maximize the benefits of the free – but limited – support provided by the CBIP. It is strongly recommended that simulators try to solve their modeling problems by speaking to colleagues, reading Procedures for Modeling Buildings to MNECB and CBIP and EE4 help files. Also check the latest modeling rules posted on the EE4 Web siteThis link opens a new window.. It is paramount that simulators invest the time and the effort required to learn the software and to be familiar with the Model National Energy Code for Buildings (MNECB) and all the CBIP modeling rules and guidelines.

Experienced consultants

Should the support provided exceed the maximum amount allowed of $1,000, the assigned consultant will be required to cease the service, unless the requestor can directly pay for the additional support. The simulators may at any time choose to secure the services of other consultants to complete the modeling process at their own expense. For more information, please consult the list of CBIP-experienced consultants.
