Abstract:

Objectives:
Initiate root measurements at Turkey Lakes this year, includes video imaging of root elongation and demography and biomass measurements by sequential coring. This year will primarily be concerned with adapting and verifying the methodology; install minirhizotrons and do preliminary root sampling at the Jack Pine Productivity site; complete remaining manuscripts from previous research efforts.

Journal Articles- Biochemical indicators of frost tolerance and dormancy in black spruce seedlings; Superior growth in hybrid poplars: I. Correlations with carbohydrate content, II. Correlations with plant hormone content.
