Abstract:

Objectives:
Determine effects of traditional and alternative harvesting on the ecological integrity of headwater streams; investigate land/water linkage in forest ecosystems; and, evaluate use of aquatic invertebrate communities as bioindicators of forest disturbance.

Location:
Black Sturgeon Lake and Turkey Lake Watersheds

Key Deliverables:
Report- Aquatic invertebrates as indicators of forest disturbance. 2) Abstract and Report- Effects of alternative forest harvesting methods on headwater streams.
