Abstract:

Objectives:
Provide infrastructure management and baseline information for the Project; conduct 5th year inventory of PSPs; reestablish and remeasure extant regeneration plots; photograph stand condition; maintain climatic data.

Northwestern Ontario

Three posters, and a Departmental Report - Establishment Report: The Black Sturgeon Boreal Mixedwood Research Project

Expected Benefits:
A better understanding of boreal mixedwoods and the impact of harvesting on the ecosystem.

Road upkeep, cut maps, aerial photography, harvest planning amendments; harvesting contractor for specialized research harvesting equipment; Studies of herbivore effects on planted spruce seedlings, and on effects of nitrogen deposition on mycrorhizal in aspen.
