Canada's ENERGY STAR Simple Savings Calculator

This interactive software tool is designed to compare the costs of purchasing ENERGY STAR qualified models with the costs of conventional models.

The on–line calculator allows you to compare one ENERGY STAR qualified model with one conventional model at any one time. This version can only be used from the Web page and does not save any modified settings when the session is terminated.

On–line version

The Excel version of this calculator will allow you to compare up to three ENERGY STAR qualified models with one conventional model at the same time. This version may be downloaded to another computer or opened from the Web page, but you must have Excel version 2000 or higher for the calculator to work properly.

Please note:
Each data sheet in the Excel version of this calculator may be unlocked allowing the user to customize many of its default values and assumptions. This option is not available on the on-line version. See the "Instructions" section of the Excel version for more details about how to unlock the data sheets.
