Step 8: Celebrate Your Success
You should be proud of your organization's efforts to reduce its energy consumption. For example, you could display the details and results to employees and other stakeholders. After all, a commitment to saving energy and protecting the environment involves convincing others to do the same.
Natural Resources Canada's Office of Energy Efficiency (OEE) offers opportunities to raise awareness of energy efficiency in your organization and national recognition to organizations that successfully implement energy efficiency savings.
Awareness Opportunities
More ideas on how promoting energy efficiency plans and savings in your organization can be found in the publication A Guide to Implementing an Energy Efficiency Awareness Program.
Awards
- Canada's Energy Efficiency Awards are given by the National Advisory Council on Energy Efficiency and the OEE in categories such as buildings and equipment.
- Innovator Awards are given by the Energy Innovators Initiative (EII) to commercial and institutional organizations that have proven their commitment to energy efficiency.
- ENERGY STAR® Market Transformation Awards recognize companies and organizations that have surpassed the competition in offering Canadian consumers the most energy-efficient product, technology or service available on the market.
Case Studies
Successful projects are sometimes featured in OEE case studies of existing buildings, new buildings and ENERGY STAR participants.
