Manufacturers – HVAC
Allied Engineering Company
Allied Engineering Company was founded in 1947 and now operates as a Division of E-Z-Rect Manufacturing Limited. Allied Engineering is a major manufacturer of boilers and is located in Western Canada. Products manufactured by Allied Engineering Company include: gas boilers, indirectly fired stainless steel hot water tanks, stainless steel hot water storage tanks, and electric space heating boilers. The Mini-Star Series boilers are ENERGY STAR qualified and good examples of the "keep it simple and dependable" philosophy. Allied Engineering is working closely with gas utilities in British Columbia and Ontario to promote the sale of the ENERGY STAR qualified boiler series.
Aube Technologies
Aube Technologies designs and manufactures electronic energy management products such as thermostats, switches and timers. Aube's programmable thermostats conform to ENERGY STAR specifications, and are labelled as such.
Benjamin Heating Products
Benjamin Heating Products is a manufacturer of residential heating equipment including oil, oil/wood, and wood burning furnaces and boilers. The company was established in 1972 and is located in Springhill, Nova Scotia. Benjamin Heating's products are certified to CSA, UL, and ULC standards, with select products carrying the ENERGY STAR symbol.
Brant Steel Products Ltd.
Founded in 1960 as a Canadian-owned and -operated company, Brant Steel Products Ltd. (formerly Fleetline Products Ltd.) specializes in custom fabrication and welding. Over the years, Brant Steel has manufactured a wide variety of products, but the primary manufactured product continues to be their residential hot water heating boilers. Brant Steel Products is involved with the eKOCOMFORTTM project that is supported by Natural Resources Canada. eKOCOMFORTTM is an integrated home comfort system that supplies space heating, hot water and continuous ventilation. Brant Steel is labelling its furnaces (integrated systems) and residential boilers that meet ENERGY STAR specifications with the ENERGY STAR symbol.
CAMUS Hydronics Ltd
CAMUS Hydronics Ltd. in Mississauga is a manufacturer of an extensive line of gas fired copper tube boilers with residential, light commercial, commercial and industrial applications. CAMUS Hydronics operates out of a modern 60,000 sq. ft. head office and manufacturing facility, and is labelling its ENERGY STAR qualified boilers.
Canarm Ltd.
Canarm Ltd. is headquartered in Brockville, Ontario, and has a distribution centre in Montréal. The company is privately owned and operated and proudly employs nearly 100 full-time employees. Canarm Ltd. is a global marketer and manufacturer of lighting, air-moving and related products, supplying the residential and agriculture markets. Its customers are wholesalers, retailers and distributors. Canarm Ltd. is currently developing and testing lighting and ceiling fans to meet ENERGY STAR performance levels for distribution in Canada and the U.S.
CFM Greenway Home Products
Among other products, Greenway Home Products offers an innovative line of water dispensing, water purification, residential ice-makers and air-movement appliances. Greenway is labelling its energy-efficient water dispensers with the ENERGY STAR symbol.
Conematic Heating Systems Inc.
Conematic Heating Systems Inc. is a private company incorporated in Alberta. Conematic heating systems are based on proven technology developed, utilized extensively in western Canada and refined over the past four years to meet demands of both foreign and domestic markets. Conematic is labelling and promoting its boiler systems that meet ENERGY STAR criteria.
ECR International Ltd. – Olsen Division
With more than 60 years of experience in North America in the manufacture of heating and cooling products, ECR International Ltd. – Olsen Division is labelling its high-efficiency gas furnaces and boilers, heat pumps and central air conditioners with the ENERGY STAR symbol.
EMCO Corporation, British Columbia
EMCO Corporation is one of North America's largest distributors of plumbing and heating products. The British Columbia region is proud to represent a number of manufacturers that offer ENERGY STAR-qualified products such as American Standard Heating & A/C, Olsen Heating & A/C, Viessman Boilers, Burnham Boilers and Broan-NuTone to name a few – and the list continues to grow.
Heat Transfer Products
Heat Transfer Products manufactures a variety of highly efficient appliances for both water heating and space heating. Product quality and commitment to the high efficiency market is the company's primary focus. The Munchkin Boiler is rated as one of the most efficient boilers on the market and will provide a 30-40 percent savings over most conventional systems. The Munchkin's efficiency can also be enhanced with the addition of a Vision Control System, which can be connected to the boiler to measure outdoor temperature for even higher efficiency. These features provide cost savings that customers are demanding in their heating systems. Heat Transfer Products labels and promotes its ENERGY STAR qualified products.
Honeywell Limited
Honeywell Limited is a leading manufacturer of thermostats. Honeywell thermostats have been very highly rated by both consumers and contractors. No line of thermostats is more accurate than Honeywell and most of their programmables are ENERGY STAR qualified. The ENERGY STAR qualified thermostats are one of the simplest, smartest home improvements a consumer can make. Depending on the programmable model, the consumer could save up to 33% on their heating and cooling costs, maximizing efficiency and comfort.
IBC Technologies Inc.
IBC produces and distributes high-efficiency condensing boilers for residential and light commercial use from its facility in Vancouver. The "Virtual Fuel Cell" boiler series offers wall-mounted full-condensing performance in a number of models. The VFC 15-150 unit provides full throttle adjustment over the range 15 000 to 150 000 Btu/hr. – it automatically senses the actual heat load and matches its output to balance, which means less cycling when dealing with seasonal loads. The VFC 15-150 also comes with its own outdoor reset controller and variable speed pump management. For large or fixed loads, the "Fixed-Fire" series provides full-condensing performance in models sized at 60 000, 90 000, 130 000 and 160 000 Btu/hr. IBC is labelling all of its boilers that meet ENERGY STAR guidelines and is promoting them in product manuals, brochures and on its Web site.
Innotouch Inc.
Innotouch provides automation for homes' and businesses' lighting, security and temperature control. Innotouch products turn off the lights when the occupant leaves and make the house look lived-in when the homeowner is away by turning lights on and off. Innotouch's ENERGY STAR-qualified programmable thermostats control heating and cooling based on a home's occupancy, the time and the outside temperature. The thermostats are manufactured by Home Automation Inc.
International Comfort Products Corporation
International Comfort Products Corp. (ICP) designs, Manufacturers and markets central air-conditioning systems and gas and oil furnaces for use in homes and commercial businesses. Its home comfort products carry the Heil, Tempstar, Arcoaire, Comfortmaker, Airquest, KeepRite, Lincoln, Kenmore and Dettson brand names. ICP is labelling its ENERGY STAR-qualified models.
Kerr Heating Products
Kerr Heating Products (Kerr) is the trade name of Parrsboro Metal Fabricators Ltd. Located in scenic Parrsboro, Nova Scotia, Kerr has been in operation since 1976 and employs 90 people. An ISO 9001:2000 registered company, Kerr manufactures a broad range of residential and light commercial heating products including boilers, furnaces and fuel oil storage tanks. Several of Kerr's boilers are ENERGY STAR qualified. Kerr promotes the ENERGY STAR initiative through links on its website and through use of the of the ENERGY STAR symbol on its qualified products and promotional materials.
Lennox Industries (Canada) Ltd.
Lennox Industries (Canada) Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of home comfort products. Lennox is labelling its heat pumps, gas furnaces and boilers and central air conditioners that meet ENERGY STAR performance levels.
LG Electronics
LG Electronics, one of the largest consumer electronics companies, is labelling and promoting ENERGY STAR-qualified products. These include Goldstar household appliances, a whole range of consumer electronic products, as well as heat pumps, air conditioners and dehumidifiers.
Log-One Ltd.
Log-One Ltd. is a Canadian company that designs and Manufacturers intelligent programmable thermostats or EMSs (energy management systems) for many different markets. These EMSs have consistently demonstrated energy savings exceeding 30 percent in numerous third-party tests. Log-One's EMS programmable thermostats conform to ENERGY STAR specifications, and Log-One is labelling and promoting its EMSs as ENERGY STAR-qualified energy-efficient thermostats.
Marathon International
Marathon International (North American Distributor of Baxi Products) is a family-owned business that has been in operation for the better part of 10 years. Primarily they are a hydronic driven company providing top quality in home comfort with their line of gas fired wall-hung boilers and on-demand water heaters. Their goal is to ensure that their customers are getting the most efficient type of products to suit their hydronic needs. Not only do customers benefit from the space and energy savings, but having the ENERGY STAR logo on the Marathon boiler line also helps the consumer to have a sense of reliability - they are purchasing a quality product that meets a trusted, world recognized symbol.
Mitsubishi Electric Sales Canada Inc.
Mitsubishi Electric cooling, heating and ventilation systems help consumers meet the everyday challenges of the Canadian climate. Mitsubishi is labelling those models of heat pumps, central and room air conditioners and ventilating fans that meet ENERGY STAR criteria.
Newmac Manufacturing Inc.
Newmac Manufacturing Inc. is an ISO 9001 registered company with its head office in Debert, Nova Scotia. The company manufactures both oil and wood fired furnaces and boilers, with a peak production staff of 70 people. Newmac's main markets are Canada, New England, New York and Pennsylvania with company warehouses located in Debert (Nova Scotia), Woodstock (Ontario), Stoughton (Massachusetts), and Muncy (Pennsylvania). Newmac is placing the ENERGY STAR symbol in industry magazine ads that feature the NBR boiler series. The ENERGY STAR symbol will also be featured in the NBR boiler brochure and on the company Web site. In addition, ENERGY STAR is now referenced in dealer/contractor training sessions.
NY Thermal Inc.
NY Thermal Inc. has been a Canadian boiler manufacturer for almost 40 years. Family owned and located in Sussex, New Brunswick, NY Thermal Manufacturers oil, gas and wood boilers that are then sold to Canadian and U.S. customers through wholesale distribution only. NY Thermal is labelling its Trinity wall-hung, condensing, modulating gas boiler product line with the ENERGY STAR symbol (including the T150, T150C, T200 and T200C models).
Rheem Manufacturing
A manufacturer of central heating and cooling products, Rheem distributes its full line of residential and commercial products around the globe. As the company grows, it continues to expand its line of residential and commercial products. Rheem is labelling its ENERGY STAR-qualified heat pumps, central air conditioners and residential gas furnaces.
Super Electric Company (Canada) Ltd.
Super Electric Company (Canada) Ltd. is a 55-year-old Canadian-owned and -operated company that Manufacturers home comfort appliances. Its products are distributed by major retailers across Canada. Super Electric plans to label the following ENERGY STAR-qualified products: bottled water coolers, clothes washers, dishwashers, refrigerators, room air conditioners, DVD products and televisions.
The Broan-NuTone Group
The Broan-NuTone Group is a major producer of residential ventilation products such as range hoods, exhaust fans and indoor air quality products. Broan-NuTone has long been recognized for its commitment to improving the lives of homeowners. As an ENERGY STAR participant, Broan-NuTone is labelling qualified exhaust fans with the ENERGY STAR symbol.
Viessmann Group
With over 6,800 employees worldwide, the Viessmann Group is a leading manufacturer of environment-friendly heating technology. Viessmann is a third generation, family-owned company with manufacturing facilities in 10 plants located in Europe, Canada and China. North American headquarters have been located in Waterloo, ON for over 25 years. A new West Coast Distribution Centre was opened in Langley, BC in 2001. Viessmann supplies ENERGY STAR qualified gas and oil fired boilers for the Canadian market. The "Vitodens 200" gas-fired, wall mounted condensing boiler has one of the highest efficiency ratings in the industry (see our web site). It is also "EcoLogo" certified by the Government of Canada Environmental Choice Program to help reduce the burden on the environment.
Water Pik Tecnhologies Canada Inc.
Water Pik Technologies Inc.'s Laars Heating Systems division, is promoting and labelling its ENERGY STAR qualified products. Water Pik Technologies Canada Inc.'s Laars Heating Systems manufactures and markets a complete line of residential and commercial copper finned tube hydronic boilers and domestic water heaters. The ENERGY STAR symbol is used in marketing efforts and on both sales and technical literature.
Weil-McLain Canada Sales Inc.
Weil-McLain Canada is the exclusive distributor for Weil-McLain boilers in Canada. Weil-McLain Manufacturers boiler and indirect water heaters for the hydronic heating market in North America and around the world. The Canadian headquarters is responsible for the marketing and distribution of Weil-McLain products across Canada. Weil-McLain is currently using the ENERGY STAR symbol on boilers that conform to ENERGY STAR specifications. The company also features the symbol in marketing efforts in trade advertising, literature and promotional events.
York International Corp.
York International Corporation is a full-line, global manufacturer of heating, ventilating, air-conditioning and refrigeration products and a leading competitor in the industry internationally. York Unitary Products Group actively supports and promotes the ENERGY STAR program in the United States and Canada. York manufacturers more than 90 models of gas-fired furnaces, high-efficiency air conditioners and heat pumps in addition to high-efficiency commercial packaged and split systems listed as ENERGY STAR-qualified products. These products are distributed as York, Coleman, Luxaire and Fraser-Johnston brands.
