Energy Efficiency Ratings

Gas Fireplaces

Energuide Logo

Ensure that your fireplace is properly sized for your heating needs. A high input rating does not guarantee high heat output as it depends both on gas input and on the fireplace's efficiency.

Fireplace efficiency, FE, is a measure of a fireplace's energy efficiency performance over an entire heating season and is expressed as a percentage. The higher the rating, the more efficient the unit.

There are currently no ENERGY STAR® performance levels for gas fireplaces.
