Requirements for the energy efficiency report, as listed in Schedule IV of the Regulations

  • type of product (clothes dryer);
  • brand name;
  • model number;
  • manufacturer;
  • name of the organization or province that carried out the clothes dryer verification and authorized the verification mark that will be affixed to the clothes dryer;
  • annual energy consumption in kWh (based on 416 cycles per year);
  • energy factor in kg/kWh;
  • test group (size category: compact or standard);
  • nominal voltage;
  • volume of drum in litres; and
  • type of drying control (i.e., timed, auto-temperature or auto-moisture).

APPLIES TO
standard or compact electrically operated household clothes washers that are top- or front-loaded, and that have an internal control system that regulates the water temperature without the need for user intervention subsequent to initiation of machine operation.

APPLIES TO
electrically operated automatic household dishwashers that are not commercial, industrial or institutional machines.

For free-standing or built-in ranges with one or more surface elements and one or more ovens:

  • whether the range is free-standing or built-in;
  • volume of usable oven space in litres;

  • whether the oven baking mode is normal bake or normal bake with forced convection.

For built-in or wall-mounted ranges with one or more ovens and no surface elements:

"Combination clothes washer-dryer" means a household appliance with a clothes washer function and clothes dryer function utilizing the same drum, a common control panel, and one power source.
