Questions and answers

Cost of the Service

An EnerGuide for New Houses evaluation is a professional service offered by associations and private sector companies across Canada. These service organizations use a methodology and software prescribed by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) to deliver the service locally. NRCan manages its delivery nationally and assures the quality of the service.

Short-Term Pain

The EnerGuide for New Houses service is valued at approximately $350. Prices can differ regionally because of other possible local subsidies.

Contact your local service organization to find out the cost of the service in your area.

Long-Term Gain

Whatever the cost in your area, the initial investment is easily recovered by your energy savings when heating your home in the years to come. And by using less energy, you'll also be helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to climate change.
