MNECB ERRATUM - CBIP INTERPRETATION
In Appendix E of the Model National Energy Code for Buildings, clause E-5.2.12.2.(1) in English, there is a typographic error. The third point in the English text duplicates the text of the second point. The third point is supposed to read:
- install regulators in the supply duct serving each air flow control area (the loop could be reheat, induction, double bundle, etc.)*

Funding for new commercial and institutional buildings from the Commercial Building Incentive Program (CBIP) is based on requirements set out in the Model National Energy Code for Buildings (MNECB). A proposed design must meet MNECB/CBIP mandatory requirements and be at least 25 percent more energy efficient when compared with a reference design as defined by the MNECB.
The MNECB was developed by Canada’s National Research Council (NRC) and sets minimum energy efficiency standards for new building construction in Canada.
