Energy Efficiency Ratings

Room Air Conditioners

ENERGY STAR/Energuide Logo

Remember, the higher the Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER), the more energy efficient the unit and the lower the electricity bills.

To avoid under and oversizing your unit, go to How to size a Room Air Conditioner. You can note your preferences on My Shopping Notes.

How you use and maintain your unit will also affect its performance, so be sure to look for energy-saving tips here and in the user's guide.
