R-2000 Code of Ethics

All R-2000-licensed persons, companies and organizations must agree to conform to Natural Resources Canada's R-2000 Code of Ethics by:

  • exercising their duties with honesty, integrity, fairness and impartiality
  • avoiding any apparent conflict of interest and avoiding association with any enterprise of questionable character
  • upholding, maintaining and, whenever possible, improving the professional integrity, reputation and practice of the R-2000 Standard
  • complying with the R-2000 Standard that is in effect and with the associated procedures, guidelines and requirements

Persons, companies or organizations that fail to abide by the R-2000 Code of Ethics will have their licence revoked.
