The Ottawa River Parkway corridor extends almost 9 kilometres along the south shore of the Ottawa River, from Carling Avenue to LeBreton Boulevard. The corridor is a key route from the west to the Capital core, and public access to the Ottawa River, panoramic views and a recreational pathway have made the corridor very popular.

A sector-level plan has been initiated to guide the future use and management of this corridor, and to help prepare the corridor for anticipated land-use changes along its borders, particularly in the Bayview/LeBreton area. The plan will involve public consultations, and is expected to be completed in 2007.
