September 2005, India and Thailand

If your company offers technology or expertise in natural disaster management and mitigation, consider joining the Earth Sciences Sector in its upcoming trade mission to South-East Asia. In light of the South-East Asia tsunami of December 26, ESS and private sector partners will be promoting Canada's capacity in natural disaster management and mitigation. Companies involved in mapping, remote sensing, geological assessment, disaster forecasting and management systems along with integrated emergency preparedness and warning systems could benefit from this mission. Led by the ESS Assistant Deputy Minister, Dr. Irwin Itzkovitch, this two-week trade mission will be making stops in India and Thailand. The mission is tentatively scheduled for the end of September 2005.
