Forest Conditions, Monitoring and Reporting

Research in this area focuses on

  • assessing the health of  forests with respect to the effects of climate change, invasive species, etc.;
  • establishing criteria and indicators for sustainable forest management; and
  • using remote-sensing techniques to provide inventory data on forests and the state of these forests.
