address national and international issues related to sustainable forest
management in Canada.
Canadian Forest Service (CFS) – Organization within NRCan that promotes
sustainable development of Canada’s forests.
Environment Canada - Federal department involved in environmental issues.
NFDP Partners - List of provincial and territorial organizations that are members
of the National Forestry Database Program Steering Committee.
Canada Wood – Program to expand the offshore export opportunities of Canadian
wood products in traditional and emerging markets.
First Nations Forestry Program - Program for improving economic conditions in
status First Nations communities with full consideration of the principles of
sustainable forest management.
Model Forest Program - An initiative in building partnerships locally, nationally,
and internationally to generate solutions to sustainable forest management
issues.
National Forestry Database Program - The National Forestry Database is used to compile national statistics. Most of the data are provided by the provincial or territorial resource management organizations. Federal land data are provided by the responsible federal departments and compiled by the CFS.
