EXTECH IV: Athabasca Uranium multidisciplinary study
High Resolution Seismic Reflection Surveys

Sub-project leaders:
Dr. Don White, Geological Survey of Canada
Zoltan Hajnal, University of Saskatchewan

A key component of EXTECH will be a high resolution seismic line, that crosses the McArthur River deposit, and two subparallel flanking lines.

Seismic line trucks

Purposes:

  1. further understand the environment of emplacement of deposits;
  2. demonstrate and optimize the methods for direct orebody detection using seismic reflection methods.
